Role Summary

The Operations Lead for Tanzania is a senior leadership position with complete oversight of fleet and border operations in the country. The role covers both owned and subcontracted fleets and is accountable for performance, compliance, governance, and growth. It is a highly visible role that requires regular interaction with senior leadership, commercial teams, clients, subcontractors, and public authorities.

The successful candidate will own operational execution while also improving systems, building capacity, and supporting expansion. The role calls for a leader who can manage immediate operational issues while also shaping longer-term strategy and optimization.

What You Will Do

• Direct all operations in Tanzania and ensure trips are completed safely, on time, and in line with compliance requirements for both company-run and subcontracted fleets.
• Accept full responsibility for operational delivery, handling incidents, and escalating critical matters when needed.
• Hire, guide, coach, and develop the local operations team while building a culture centered on performance, teamwork, and ownership.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, commercial teams, clients, subcontractors, and government bodies, to align operations with business goals.
• Review operational information to identify delays, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, then implement changes that improve speed, accuracy, and resource use.
• Maintain strong compliance with legal, licensing, and process requirements, supported by solid governance, records, and reporting.
• Lead initiatives that improve fleet capacity, streamline processes, and raise overall operational performance.
• Promote high standards of safety, risk control, and operational discipline.
