Role Overview
Rosewood Red Sea is looking for a Night Manager to take charge of the resort’s overnight operations. In this position, you will serve as the Manager on Duty throughout the night, making sure that guest experience, safety, security, and operating standards remain consistent until morning.
The role is centered on supervising the overnight Front Office function, covering Reception, Concierge, guest arrivals and departures, night audit work, and the wider guest service workflow. You will also be responsible for resolving guest issues, supporting service recovery, protecting financial and audit controls, and making sure the property is ready for the next day’s business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry full responsibility as the night-shift Manager on Duty and keep overnight resort operations running smoothly.
- Supervise Reception, Concierge, and other overnight Front Office activities to support efficient service delivery.
- Uphold Rosewood service, appearance, and operational standards at all times.
- Respond to guest complaints, concerns, and overnight recovery situations quickly and with professionalism.
- Track late check-ins, early departures, guest requests, and any special needs arising overnight.
- Make sure the night audit is completed correctly, within deadlines, and according to resort policies.
- Review billing, cashiering, rebates, discounts, and room postings to ensure they follow established procedures.
- Oversee floats, receipts, deposits, reports, and other overnight financial control processes.
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments to support seamless overnight operations.
- Maintain a strong visible presence in the lobby and other important guest areas throughout the shift.
- Record incidents, unusual events, and operational issues accurately and ensure proper handover for follow-up.
- Guide and support overnight team members by assigning tasks clearly and promoting teamwork and strong performance.
- Prepare the resort operationally for the morning shift handover.
- Escalate disciplinary matters, grievances, and major operational concerns to the Director of Front Office or Assistant Director of Front Office.
Experience and Skills
This position calls for 3 to 5 years of Front Office experience, including prior exposure to supervisory duties or night management responsibilities. Background in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel or resort environment is preferred.
You should have a solid understanding of night audit activities, Front Office procedures, cashiering, billing, and financial controls. Practical experience with check-ins, check-outs, guest profiles, room status management, billing, cashiering, and shift-closing tasks is expected.
Strong working knowledge of Property Management Systems is essential, including handling guest profiles, room inventory, billing, traces, and Front Office controls. The role also requires confidence in acting as Manager on Duty and making sound judgments during overnight operations.
Excellent guest recovery, problem-solving, and communication skills are important, along with a good understanding of safety, security, emergency response, and incident reporting. You should be able to stay calm, professional, and decisive in demanding situations.
Strong leadership, communication, and follow-up abilities are required. Previous pre-opening exposure will be considered an advantage. Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
