Role overview
Nord Anglia Education is hiring an experienced MYP Coordinator for Etqan Global Academy (EGA), a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on steering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), protecting programme quality, strengthening teaching practice and supporting excellent student outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Guide the design, rollout and continuous review of the IB Middle Years Programme in accordance with IB standards and expectations.
- Handle IB authorisation, evaluation and self-study activities, and serve as the main contact point with the IB organisation.
- Coach and support MYP teachers in programme delivery, unit planning and assessment practices.
- Oversee the Personal Project, service as action, and ATL skill growth throughout the MYP.
- Lead moderation and standardisation of MYP assessments across subject areas.
- Coordinate preparation for eAssessment and submission of external moderation materials.
- Plan and deliver MYP-focused staff professional development, including engagement with Nord Anglia University.
- Communicate MYP requirements, progress and results clearly to parents and the wider school community.
Candidate profile
- Recognised teaching qualification plus classroom teaching experience in an IB MYP school.
- Completion of IB MYP workshop training at Category 1 or Category 2 level.
- Strong understanding of the MYP curriculum, assessment criteria, eAssessment and the Personal Project.
- Working knowledge of IB programme standards, practices and authorisation requirements.
- Previous experience in an IB coordinator or curriculum leadership position is an advantage.
- Well-developed organisational, communication and coaching abilities.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and to the welfare of all students.
- International school experience, preferably in the Middle East, is an added advantage.
