Role overview
This opportunity is with a respected Irish insurance company based in Dublin, Ireland. The position follows a hybrid setup with two days spent onsite. It reports to the Claims Manager and offers a salary range of €34,000 to €40,000. The employer is considering candidates who already have claims experience as well as insurance professionals looking to move into a claims-focused role, with full training provided.
What you will do
- Handle motor claims end to end, taking responsibility for each case, collecting the necessary details, evaluating liability, and settling claims within your decision-making limits.
- Act as the key contact for customers, brokers, and service partners, helping them move through the claims process in a clear and supportive manner.
- Use sound judgment when making decisions, identify possible signs of fraud, and maintain thorough and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with teammates, support workload flow, and contribute to a constructive team culture.
- Work with loss adjusters, solicitors, and other external stakeholders whenever required.
- Take part in training, project work, and initiatives designed to improve processes and service delivery.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with previous claims handling experience or a background in the insurance sector, whether with a broker or insurer. A current APA (Personal & Commercial) or CIP qualification is essential. Strong verbal and written communication, good organisation, an analytical approach to problem-solving, a customer-first attitude, and a proactive team mindset are all important for success in this role.
