The work is centered on building campaigns that spark real audience connection through stories, emotions, and experiences.

AKA is hiring a Motion Graphic Designer to join its content and creative team. This position suits someone with strong motion storytelling ability, excellent technical execution, and a genuine interest in entertainment and culture. The designer will partner with Creative Directors and content producers to create motion content for multiple platforms and activations.

What you'll do

• Develop eye-catching motion graphics and animations for a wide range of campaigns and creative projects.
• Work with Creative Directors and content producers to shape concepts, storyboards, and visual solutions.
• Create both 2D and 3D motion assets for digital, social, experiential, and branded content.
• Keep visual style, narrative flow, and brand standards consistent across all deliverables.
• Track motion design trends, new technologies, and AI-enabled tools to stay current.
• Handle projects from initial idea through final delivery while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Respond effectively to client feedback and revisions while managing several priorities in a busy environment.

What we're looking for

• 3 to 5 years of experience in motion graphics, animation, or similar creative work; experience in entertainment is a plus.
• A strong portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates storytelling and motion design strength.
• Solid working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Ability to create 2D and 3D motion graphics for different platforms and output formats.
• Good understanding of typography, composition, color, and visual storytelling fundamentals.
• Excellent communication, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Comfort taking a project independently from concept stage to completion in a fast-moving creative setting.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this role in New York, NY is USD 80,000 to USD 105,000 per year.

Pay may vary based on internal equity, location, role-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary bonus may also be included in the overall compensation package.
