Role overview
This position is for a Senior Mechanical Estimation Engineer based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, within a long-established design-and-build organization known for delivering recognized projects across the Kingdom.
What the role involves
The selected professional will be responsible for building mechanical estimates from the ground up. The scope includes tender evaluation, quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, preparing unit-rate build-ups, and collecting and assessing subcontractor quotations. The role supports Design & Build, Construction, and Project Management bids.
Key qualifications and expectations
- More than 10 years of experience in mechanical or MEP estimation, preferably with contractors in Saudi Arabia.
- Mandatory registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and relevant standards including SBC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA.
- A professional cost certification such as CEP, CCP, or CPE is considered an added advantage.
- Transferable Iqama is preferred.
- Candidates should be able to justify their pricing during bid reviews and demonstrate strong familiarity with the Saudi Arabian market.
