About the team

The In-Store function is a new and fast-evolving area for DoorDash. The team’s focus is twofold: bringing customers into partner physical locations to increase sales and loyalty, and strengthening merchant technology so restaurant partners can manage digital channels and in-store activity using DoorDash infrastructure.

In ANZ, the group is working on both improving the customer journey from discovery through to dining and giving merchants the tools to manage their own guest relationships. It is a high-velocity team working across product, commercial, and operations, with significant growth still ahead.

About the role

As Manager, Strategy & Operations for In-Store, you will own direct commercial outcomes for the merchant technology go-to-market plan, support growth initiatives across the in-store business, and help define the region’s long-term strategy. The role requires strong cross-functional leadership and real ownership from day one.

You will work closely with ANZ leadership to deliver specific business results, build the operational and analytical systems the team depends on, and influence how the in-store business scales. The position sits at the overlap of product, sales, marketing, and analytics.

What you will do

  • Partner with global product teams as the main advocate for merchants in ANZ, identifying product gaps, shaping requirements, and feeding local market needs into the roadmap.
  • Support and guide the team responsible for in-store growth initiatives, including rewards and table reservations, with strategic direction and analytical input.
  • Work with ANZ leadership on the regional long-term plan, helping unify products and programmes into one merchant value proposition and defining the in-store model at APAC scale.
  • Create the commercial intelligence backbone for the team by developing dashboards, financial models, and decision-making frameworks that track progress and inform investment choices.

What we are looking for

  • At least 6 years of experience in strategy and operations, leadership, management consulting, or a senior position within a fast-growing technology business.
  • A history of owning commercial results end to end, including launching or scaling products rather than only supporting them.
  • Strong ability to think strategically while working with SQL, financial models, and commercial frameworks to test ideas, uncover opportunities, and influence decisions.
  • Experience operating across several products or business lines at the same time.
  • Comfort with ambiguous situations where the problem, data, and ownership are not fully defined, along with the ability to quickly build context and move work forward.
  • Clear, credible communication skills that help align product, marketing, and senior stakeholders around a point of view.
  • Additional experience in marketplace operations, SaaS go-to-market, or the hospitality and restaurant sector is an advantage.
