Role Overview

Followmont Cairns is looking for a motivated and customer-oriented HR truck driver to handle local freight movements and support the transport team across Far North Queensland. The role suits someone who enjoys structured work, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality results while working safely and collaboratively.

Working Pattern

• Permanent full-time position
• Monday to Friday schedule
• Start time: 7:00 am

Key Duties

• Move general freight for the Cairns branch and nearby community while maintaining strong customer service standards
• Complete operational documentation such as pre-start inspections, run sheets, proof of delivery records, and logbooks
• Use digital tools, including PDAs, to scan freight and capture live signatures
• Carry out manual handling tasks like opening and closing gates and pulling curtains
• Follow company procedures, standards, and safety requirements to ensure reliable and accurate deliveries
• Work at a steady, methodical pace with a focus on precision and quality

Attendance Payment Terms

The weekly attendance payment is only available to full-time employees and depends on strict eligibility rules. To qualify, the employee must attend all contracted and rostered shifts within a standard 38-hour week and complete four consecutive weeks of employment without any unplanned leave for any reason. If these conditions are met, the eligible weekly attendance payment of $96.15 will be included in the fifth week’s pay cycle.
