Overview
This opportunity is with a recruitment and staffing firm that works solely on cybersecurity, data, and AI positions. Its client base is made up of enterprise companies with annual revenue of $1B+, including recognized businesses in financial services, retail, and automotive. The team is small, experienced, and has seen a sharp rise in demand over the last six months after a slower stretch, which is driving the need to hire additional recruiters.
The role is designed as an entry point into a clear career path. Over time, it can lead to stronger earnings and broader responsibilities across recruiting, business development, or team leadership.
What You'll Do
- Identify and approach passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, with an emphasis on cybersecurity, data, and AI talent.
- Run initial intake conversations with hiring managers to clarify role needs before the search begins.
- Screen candidates in structured 30-minute interviews before presenting them to clients.
- Handle a portfolio of 2 to 4 open roles at once, mostly contract assignments.
- Set up interviews and assist with offers and negotiation discussions.
- Develop a working understanding of contract staffing, the market, and the firm’s client group.
What You Need
- Evidence of commitment and staying power from jobs held during high school and/or university.
- A driven, competitive, and self-starting mindset.
- Comfort with consistent follow-up and proactive communication.
- Strong emotional intelligence and a relationship-focused style.
- Residence in Toronto, or willingness to relocate, with an in-office presence on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at Bay and Richmond; during summer, this becomes two in-office days every other week.
- No recruiting or technology background is necessary, but a strong work ethic and resilience are essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base pay of $40,000.
- Expected first-year total earnings of $50,000 to $55,000.
- Expected second-year total earnings of $70,000 to $100,000.
- Fully employer-covered health and dental coverage.

- Hybrid work setup with the office located in downtown Toronto at Bay and Richmond.
