The Clearing House is a banking association and payments company owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. It operates key U.S. payments infrastructure and is actively modernizing that platform with a new real-time payment system. The organization is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the country, processing and settling nearly $2 trillion in U.S. dollar payments each day, which represents about half of commercial ACH and wire volume. It has supported the banking industry since 1853, and its core services include direct deposit payroll, bill payment processing, and check image exchange.

What you will do

• Assist with day-to-day cybersecurity programs, controls, and operational tasks.
• Investigate, analyze, and help resolve security incidents and related issues.
• Keep security records, procedures, and reporting materials current.
• Take part in security reviews, assessments, and process improvement efforts.
• Support monitoring, triage, investigation, and response activities when needed.
• Contribute to compliance, risk, and governance initiatives tied to information security.
• Work with technology teams to reinforce secure practices across the organization.
• Help deliver security awareness, training, and internal communications.
• Handle additional cybersecurity duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or current progress toward one.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or relevant internships.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and standard best practices.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn in a fast-moving setting.
• Helpful background in cybersecurity tools, technologies, or common industry frameworks.
• Basic familiarity with networking, operating systems, and cloud platforms.
• Any exposure to scripting or automation tools will be an advantage.
• Progress toward, or possession of, certifications such as Security+ or Network+ is beneficial.

Work environment and other details

The role is based in an office setting with standard equipment and generally sedentary work. The environment is described as favorable, with suitable lighting and temperature and no unusual noise, dust, or similar hazards.

Employees are expected to work from the office three days each week. Occasional travel may be required. The employer also notes that onsite expectations can change at any time.
