PBK is hiring an interior designer for a demanding, fast-moving role based in West Palm Beach, Florida. The position calls for someone who is personable, technically strong, and comfortable working on interiors for educational, healthcare, and large corporate environments, with a strong emphasis on K-12 school projects. You will collaborate closely with project designers, production architects, and engineering teams while helping shape educational design work.

What you will do

  • Take a leadership role across all phases of a project, from early concept development through completion, while supporting the design and documentation of interior spaces.
  • Develop interior design concepts and carry them forward through each stage of the design process.
  • Handle finish material selection, prepare specifications, and assemble finish boards.
  • Apply space-planning knowledge, code awareness, and an understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare construction documents, support construction administration, and review submittals.

Qualifications and expectations

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture is required, and the program must be CIDA accredited.
  • You should have practical knowledge of the FF&E process.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills are needed, including the ability to explain design ideas to clients.
