Role Overview

Summerset is hiring a Gardener for its Cavendish village in Christchurch. The role suits someone with gardening or landscaping experience, though a strong interest in creating attractive outdoor spaces and a positive attitude toward working with residents and colleagues is equally important.

This is a hands-on, varied position supporting the Property Manager with day-to-day garden upkeep. It requires an organised approach, good efficiency, solid fitness, and the ability to manage time well while working as part of a team. The position is full time, totalling 80 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with routine garden maintenance at the village.
• Keep outdoor areas tidy, healthy, and visually appealing.
• Carry out a range of gardening and landscaping tasks as needed.
• Work efficiently through daily maintenance duties in a busy environment.
• Plan and manage time effectively to complete assigned work.
• Collaborate well with other team members to support village upkeep.

Requirements

• Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred.
• Genuine enthusiasm for creating well-kept outdoor environments.
• Comfort interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
• Good physical fitness to handle the practical demands of the job.
• Ability to work full time, across 80 hours per fortnight.

Additional Information
