Job Purpose

This position focuses on overseeing and carrying out civil work related to cable installation and substation equipment installation. The role ensures site activities are executed properly and in line with project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Site Supervisor, review the project timeline, and arrange site work accordingly.
• Oversee labourers and technicians to ensure efficient productivity on site.
• Direct the workforce to follow approved drawings and project documentation.
• Assign daily work targets to chargehands and labour team leaders based on schedule requirements.
• Prepare daily progress updates and attendance/time sheets, then forward them to the Site Engineer for approval.
• Liaise with clients and authorities at the site level when required.

Requirements

• Strong command of English and Hindi for day-to-day communication.
• Good coordination abilities for managing site operations.
• Experience in leading technicians and chargehands.
• Working knowledge of HSE practices relevant to construction and site work.
• At least 3 to 5 years of prior experience in a similar HSE-related role.
• Ability to read basic drawings and schedules and use the hand tools and machines needed for the job.
• Understanding of general site safety rules and how to apply them on the job.
• Comfortable working under general supervision with routine technical tasks.
• Must be able to follow established procedures while exercising limited independent judgment.
• Should understand that the role has limited impact beyond schedule delays and possible additional resource allocation if targets are missed.
• Expected to handle hourly, daily, and weekly routine planning and technical work.
