Role overview
The Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and play a central role in both day-to-day finance operations and wider commercial support. The position combines core accounting responsibilities with analysis, planning, and cross-functional partnership.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end financial statements.
- Create presentations and detailed financial analysis for senior management to support decisions and business value creation.
- Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term strategic planning.
- Work alongside operational teams to provide financial guidance and commercial insight.
- Track overheads on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities to reduce costs across the organisation.
- Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance team.
- Assist the CFO with commercial and strategic projects as required.
- Liaise with senior internal stakeholders and external advisers when needed.
Candidate profile

Eligibility and experience
- Fully qualified accountant.
- At least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Training gained in a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy practice.

Compensation and benefits
