Role overview

The Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and play a central role in both day-to-day finance operations and wider commercial support. The position combines core accounting responsibilities with analysis, planning, and cross-functional partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end financial statements.
• Create presentations and detailed financial analysis for senior management to support decisions and business value creation.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term strategic planning.
• Work alongside operational teams to provide financial guidance and commercial insight.
• Track overheads on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities to reduce costs across the organisation.
• Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance team.
• Assist the CFO with commercial and strategic projects as required.
• Liaise with senior internal stakeholders and external advisers when needed.

Candidate profile

Eligibility and experience

• Fully qualified accountant.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Training gained in a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy practice.
• Previous experience in industry within a commercial business.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Ambitious and interested in progressing within a growing Irish company.

Compensation and benefits

The salary on offer is €120,000, plus benefits.
