About the Role
TRM Labs develops AI-driven intelligence tools that support public- and private-sector teams in investigating and disrupting criminal activity. In this APAC Events Manager role, you will work closely with Marketing, Policy, and Sales to create event-led pipeline growth across the region. You will take ownership of the full strategy and delivery for sponsored, co-hosted, and TRM-run events and webinars, while also improving the systems and processes that make the program more efficient, repeatable, and measurable.
This position calls for both strategic judgment and hands-on delivery. Success means keeping every event tightly connected to business goals, producing clear commercial outcomes, and continuously strengthening TRM’s regional events function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete APAC events and webinar lifecycle, including planning, promotion, execution, reporting, and optimization, with a focus on creating strong customer and prospect experiences that support pipeline and brand visibility.
- Run a large yearly calendar of mostly in-person events, from small executive roundtables to major conferences, while protecting ROI and business alignment.
- Embed priority marketing programs such as TRM Academy, Leo Labs, and other major campaigns into event plans to extend their reach across the region.
- Spot and activate co-marketing opportunities with partners and vendors that contribute directly to pipeline growth.
- Improve event operations by tightening workflows, creating consistent documentation, tracking performance data, and applying learnings across regions.
- Work in close partnership with APAC stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality events that support strategic objectives.
- Move quickly from concept to launch, often within weeks, while adapting to fast-changing needs and last-minute updates without lowering standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4+ years of experience in event marketing, with direct ownership of event and campaign coordination; experience in a fast-growing B2B SaaS company is preferred, and fintech, compliance, or cybersecurity exposure is especially valuable.
- Background in an events agency is considered an advantage.
- Proven track record of managing 50–70+ events each year, including both intimate executive sessions and large conferences for public and private sector audiences.
- Ability to set event goals that support broader marketing and business targets such as pipeline creation, revenue influence, and brand building.
- Strong project management skills, including handling several parallel workstreams under tight deadlines and solving problems effectively on site.
- Experience working with external vendors, including contract negotiation and budget management.
- Practical experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zapier, or similar CRM and marketing automation tools.
- Experience running webinars and paid media campaigns is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 1–2 times per month.
- Full professional English proficiency.
- Korean and/or Japanese language ability is an added advantage.
About the Team and Working Style
The Marketing team supports TRM’s global growth by building awareness and pipeline through high-impact campaigns and events. In this role, you will collaborate across functions to strengthen TRM’s presence in important APAC markets.
TRM operates with a fast-moving, high-ownership mindset. Work is expected to move quickly, with frequent iteration and a strong focus on measurable results. This environment is suited to people who are comfortable adapting to change, making decisions with limited certainty, and delivering in a high-tempo setting.
What Success Looks Like at TRM Speed
- Launching and coordinating events in weeks rather than months.
- Responding quickly to unexpected changes such as speaker cancellations or venue adjustments while preserving event goals.
- Hitting registration targets to maximize attendance and impact.
- Managing multiple timelines by planning dependencies early and working backward from deadlines, even when several events happen on the same day during peak periods.
- Turning around post-event analysis quickly, including attendee feedback and performance metrics within 24–48 hours, to improve future events.
Working Environment
TRM expects a high level of ownership, adaptability, cross-functional collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The pace is intentionally intense and reward-driven, with priorities and targets often shifting as the business experiments and learns.
Candidates should be comfortable with ambiguity, frequent communication, and rapid course corrections. If you prefer highly predictable work or a consistently balanced workload, this may not be the right fit. If you are motivated by meaningful problems, ambitious goals, and mission-driven colleagues, the role can offer a highly rewarding growth environment.
AI Fluency Expectation
AI fluency is considered a core expectation at TRM. Team members are expected to use AI to improve how they work, not just automate basic tasks. In this role, that includes accelerating repetitive workflows, structuring and solving problems, improving output quality, and increasing speed and leverage. AI fluency will be assessed during the interview process.
Leadership Principles
- Impact-Oriented Trailblazer: Put customers first, work with speed and flexibility, and treat each plan as something to test, measure, and refine.
- Master Craftsperson: Care deeply about quality, balance speed with high standards, own outcomes from start to finish, and keep improving every day.
- Inspiring Colleague: Bring clarity, energy, humility, and candor, while contributing to a one-team culture of constructive feedback.
