Enterprise Database Unit Head

Role Overview

This position leads enterprise database operations for Aljazira Bank in Jeddah. The role is responsible for turning departmental strategy into execution, improving operating practices, and ensuring database services remain reliable, secure, and high-performing.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the rollout of strategic plans so they align with the department’s targets.
• Provide input to workforce planning by sharing forecasts for the unit’s staffing needs.
• Help maintain the department’s operating structure by offering direction, reinforcing work standards, and supporting process reviews that drive better performance and ongoing improvement.
• Oversee enterprise database operations so that all database platforms meet required levels of availability, performance, and security.
• Track database health across the enterprise, including performance, capacity, and uptime.
• Make sure database-related work follows IT governance rules as well as SAMA regulatory and cybersecurity expectations.
• Identify risks affecting the database environment and put mitigation plans in place to protect data integrity and business continuity.
