Role overview

The role is based in Melbourne’s South East. The person appointed should bring a background in electrical work, construction, and data communications. The position will begin at the Fairfield site, with an office relocation planned from Fairfield to Mount Waverley in August.
You will partner with several project teams and be responsible for pricing electrical projects of different sizes and values.

Key duties
- Build detailed and accurate estimates in a timely manner for medium to large projects across electrical, construction, and data communications work.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to confirm practical delivery and cost-effective outcomes.
- Examine tender documents, specifications, plans, and technical drawings to understand project scope.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job requirements to prepare precise quotations.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Assist with project planning and ensure estimates support budget and operational objectives.
- Maintain and develop industry relationships that support stronger client connections.
- Guide and train team members on effective estimating methods.
- Review complex estimates prepared by other project teams and provide input where needed.

Requirements
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician).
- At least 3 years of experience working as an Electrical Estimator.
- Hands-on experience in data communications.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and estimating software.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
- Comfort working across multiple teams in a collaborative environment.
- High attention to detail and the ability to deliver within deadlines.
