The team manages a strong network of production partners and focuses on work that balances budget, time, sustainability, ethics, and inventive creative development.
Role Overview
The Associate Producer supports the Production team across every stage of the production cycle. This role is designed for someone who wants to learn from experienced colleagues while gradually taking ownership of selected projects and responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Build a solid understanding of production terms, tools, methods, equipment, and workflows by researching prior projects.
- Help drive production work forward and take ownership of assigned internal and external deliverables.
- Handle everyday coordination tasks such as scheduling, reports, billing, and meeting setup.
- Strengthen knowledge of the agency’s production capabilities, initiatives, and general industry standards.
- Expand familiarity with production vendors, pricing, and timelines.
- Join relevant bookings and sessions recommended by the Producer to continue learning.
- Develop strong working relationships with team members and become a dependable production partner.
- Capture detailed notes during pre-production meetings and share them with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Act as a researcher on every production assignment.
- Support internal productions such as case studies, pitch reels, mood films, voiceover research, radio projects, and small shoots.
- Follow Droga5’s administrative processes and agency best practices consistently.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in production or a related area; relevant coursework or internship experience may also count.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
- Comfort juggling multiple tasks in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Interest in creative work and motivation to learn more about agency production.
- Ability to adapt and stay effective in a fast-moving, changing environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is influenced by several factors, including office location, role, skills, and experience. Under local law, the anticipated hourly salary range for this position in New York is $24.42 to $63.13.
