Role overview
Reporting to the Global CMO, this position is responsible for steering SodaStream’s worldwide digital growth transformation. The remit brings together three core growth pillars into a single operating model: data analytics and measurement, digital marketing and media execution, and loyalty and subscription.
This is a senior change-and-growth leadership role focused on building a high-caliber digital growth function across HQ, DTC, and market teams. The role connects data, media, consumer engagement, and commercial execution into one coordinated growth system.
The position will oversee three direct reports: the Data Analytics & Measurement Director, the Digital Marketing & Media Execution Director, and the Loyalty & Subscription Senior Manager.
It is expected to strengthen organizational capability and improve decision-making by embedding data, automation, AI, and performance intelligence into category, media, commercial, and MarCom decisions, while also enabling scalable local adaptation and execution excellence across markets.
The role requires significant influence with senior stakeholders, including HQ counterparts, market general managers, SGLT leadership, and cross-functional partners, to help shape strategic priorities, investment choices, and capability-building decisions.
Responsibilities
- Set the global digital growth strategy and execution roadmap for SodaStream across data, media, and loyalty capabilities.
- Bring data analytics and measurement, digital marketing, and loyalty/subscription together into one connected growth engine spanning marketing, DTC, and market operations.
- Accelerate omnichannel growth driven by lifetime value by aligning audience strategy, media, CRM, loyalty, and commercial execution more tightly.
- Develop a modern consumer growth foundation with data automation, AI-supported optimization, stronger measurement, and martech capabilities.
- Create measurement and decision-making frameworks that connect consumer, media, and commercial spend to business outcomes such as CLTV, CAC, ROAS, retention, and penetration.
- Convert consumer and performance insights into actions for category, media, and MarCom planning, while supporting market prioritization and execution.
- Own governance for major digital investments and business cases, including technology and capability capital decisions where applicable.
- Run global operating cadences and performance management across markets, balancing consistency with the flexibility needed locally.
- Strengthen organizational capability in AI, automation, digital growth, experimentation, and performance optimization.
- Serve as a senior partner and advisor to HQ and market leaders on digital growth priorities and the transformation agenda.
Qualifications
- MBA or an equivalent master’s degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, Digital, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong analytical and commercial grounding, with a deep understanding of digital growth economics, media performance, and consumer analytics.
- 15 to 20 years of leadership experience in digital-first, data-driven, eCommerce, or consumer technology environments.
- Proven success leading transformation across data, media, CRM, loyalty, and commercial growth functions.
- Experience expanding digital growth capabilities across global or regional organizations, ideally with a strong market-enablement component.
- Background in subscription, recurring revenue, DTC, or eCommerce-led business models is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to influence senior business and functional stakeholders.
- Ideal background: a digital-native leader from a roughly $0.5–1B B2C eCommerce-led environment with strong analytics, digital marketing, and global transformation experience.
