Role Overview
The Designer will work closely with the Design Manager to shape category strategy and product direction. This role involves developing new products, refining existing styles, and turning market and fashion insights into commercially relevant designs. The ideal candidate combines creativity, innovation, strategic thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset, along with a strong connection to the brand.
What You Will Do
- Develop product categories from concept through final delivery, including trend research, seasonal themes, sketches, garment mockups, specifications, and tech packs.
- Preserve the brand’s merchandising structure and visual flow so each category stays aligned with the company’s design identity and storytelling.
- Build assortment plans using historical performance, seasonality, intended function, SKU targets, and average unit retail considerations.
- Study market direction and translate relevant trends, concepts, and ideas into brand-appropriate product proposals.
- Prepare and evaluate line sheets, trims, materials, and colorways, and place raw material and lab dip orders within required lead times.
- Participate in fit sessions, assess samples on and off models, and recommend adjustments to improve the final product.
- Explore and implement fresh, innovative approaches to design execution.
- Oversee design workflows to keep projects moving on schedule and aligned with calendar milestones.
- Work closely each day with technical and supply chain partners to support execution and business goals.
- Develop and maintain accurate tech packs, specs, DRFs, and BOMs in PLM in partnership with the technical designer.
- Lead fabric and trim selection with an emphasis on softness, while collaborating with sourcing on innovative and sustainable materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in design overall.
- Minimum 2 years of experience at the Designer level.
- Strong hand sketching and CAD-based design and visualization skills.
- Working knowledge of design and garment manufacturing, including line direction, construction, and cost awareness.
- Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-focused, collaborative, and positive in approach.
- Self-starter who is practical, resourceful, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to originate creative ideas and move them independently from concept to execution.
- Interest in continuous learning and tracking trends in fabrics, colors, and silhouettes.
- Strong ability to research and analyze fabrics, trims, colors, shapes, and trends for future collections.
- Strong eye for color, prints, and fabric, with a refined point of view and elevated aesthetic.
- Experience creating cohesive assortments that deliver results; experience launching or scaling a category, business, or division is an added advantage.
- Experience using PLM is preferred.

Compensation
The salary for this position is $90,000 to $122,000 per year.
Location
This role is based in Miami, Florida, and is onsite.
