Role overview

This full-time deli position in Centra Kilbeggan, County Offaly focuses on producing appealing hot and cold deli items while keeping customer care at the centre of the role. The key objective is to deliver consistently high-quality food and a positive in-store experience.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing customer orders across the fresh food area, including sandwiches, rolls, hot foods, and sliced meats, while following the store’s portion guidelines.
• Cooking, assembling, and presenting food sold during the day.
• Keeping all fresh food counters looking clean, organised, and well presented throughout trading hours.
• Supporting customers with product suggestions, recipe ideas, and food recommendations in a helpful and enthusiastic way.
• Handling customer questions and issues promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
• Working in a way that reflects the Centra values of being Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a similar deli or food service role is required.
• Prior customer service experience is beneficial.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team in a busy, high-pressure environment.
• Comfort with multitasking when things get busy.
• A genuine interest in food and the ability to encourage customer interest in products.
• HACCP training is preferred, although it is not essential.
