Role overview
This opening is for exceptional data scientists to support machine learning-focused projects in a remote contract setup. The engagement calls for 20 to 40 hours per week, with compensation set at $60 to $100 per hour.
What you'll do
- Plan experiments and collect the right data for machine learning use cases.
- Clean, prepare, and study large datasets to develop predictive systems.
- Test and strengthen AI models using tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Partner with engineering teams to take solutions from analysis to production.
- Draft, assess, and verify prompt-based questions used in AI model training.
- Work on your own, manage tasks asynchronously, and stay on track with deadlines while improving model quality.
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data science or applied analytics.
- Strong command of Python and Jupyter notebooks.
- Hands-on exposure to libraries such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, SymPy, scikit-learn, torch, and TensorFlow.
- A bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a closely related field from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, the UK, or Australia.
- Solid experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical inference, machine learning pipelines, model assessment, feature engineering, preprocessing, data wrangling, A/B testing, experimentation, or causal inference.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Sharp attention to detail.
Start date
