The Global E-commerce group works on a content-led shopping experience powered by international short-form video. Its goal is to become the go-to destination where users can discover useful products at affordable prices and where merchants can rely on stable, consistent platform support across scenarios such as live commerce and short-video-driven commerce. The team is focused on helping buyers access better value and making quality products easier to sell.

Role Overview

This position is for a data scientist who will help shape reporting, measurement, and analytics for product performance in a fast-moving global e-commerce environment.

Responsibilities

Create and improve reporting systems to monitor product performance with visualization tools.
Work closely with business partners and technical leads in a fast-paced setting, showing a strong willingness to learn.
Use empathy and business understanding to identify data gaps, prioritize analytics needs, and define the right metrics to measure success.
Turn data into clear, actionable recommendations that help teams execute long-term strategy and understand progress toward goals.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, internet security, or another related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a closely related area.
Strong analytical ability and hands-on proficiency with statistical and analytical tools such as SQL and Python.
Experience or familiarity with analytics for social or content platforms, including metric design, product feature analysis, and A/B testing.
Bonus exposure to data mining or modern machine learning techniques.
Ability to think critically and communicate in a practical, objective, and results-focused way.

Base salary range: $212,800 to $387,600 annually.
