About the Role
Join a creative team that helps shape how a major professional network presents itself to the world. This position is centered on idea leadership, where copywriting is only one part of the impact; the bigger expectation is to guide thinking, build compelling stories, and raise the creative standard across campaigns and brand work.
The role may be based in New York City, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or Mountain View. The working model is hybrid, so you will split time between home and a company office depending on team and business needs.
You will collaborate across brand and marketing to turn audience insight into creative work that feels clear, human, and relevant in culture.
Responsibilities
- Convert strategy and audience insight into campaign ideas, creative platforms, and narrative directions.
- Steer concept development from the earliest thinking through final delivery.
- Develop and supervise copy for multiple channels, including brand, marketing, video, and related formats.
- Refine the organization’s voice so it remains consistent, approachable, and unmistakable.
- Partner early with design, strategy, and marketing to shape briefs, influence direction, and co-create the work before it is fully defined.
- Simplify complex or abstract ideas so they are easy to understand and more compelling.
- Bring stakeholders and partners into the process early to align the team and strengthen the best ideas.
- Present creative concepts with confidence, helping others understand both what is effective and what is worth producing.
- Coach and support writers while improving the overall quality, ambition, and craft of the team’s output.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in copywriting and creative leadership.
- BA/BS in design, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A portfolio that shows original ideas, strong creative instincts, and versatility across formats.
- Ability to contribute to ideas at the concept stage, not only execute from an existing brief.
- Skill in turning insights into work that connects emotionally and culturally.
- A distinct voice with the flexibility to adapt for different audiences, formats, and moments.
- Experience producing work that is strategically grounded, creatively strong, and culturally informed.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Experience shaping decisions with senior stakeholders and guiding creative direction.
- A consistent record of improving both the work and the people around you.
- Good judgment about when to challenge, refine, or continue iterating until the work is right.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is USD 149,000 to USD 233,000 per year. The final package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive plans. Pay can vary by location and by factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
