Role overview

Federal Express Corporation is looking for a Courier/DOT-1 to operate company vehicles, handle package delivery and pickup, and provide customer-facing service in a professional manner.

What you will do

• Drive and operate assigned company vehicles.
• Deliver and collect packages efficiently and courteously.
• Verify shipments against FedEx service standards and requirements.
• Support customers with related service needs.
• Carry out any other duties assigned to the role.

What the role requires

This position is a non-covered, safety-sensitive role and includes a required medical exam. The selected candidate must meet the qualifications described under Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and be able to work with a high level of alertness while maintaining safe practices.

Education and licensing

A high school diploma or GED is required. The candidate must also hold the appropriate license for the vehicle assigned.

Physical and language requirements

The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to move packages heavier than 50 lbs with the help of suitable equipment and/or another person. The person in this role should have strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, maintain a tidy appearance because customer interaction is part of the work, and be able to read and speak English well enough to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic officials and other authorities as needed.

Additional conditions

Applicants must be at least 21 years old. A medical examination is required in line with FMCSA or FAA rules.

Schedule and pay

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay is listed at $21.05 to $31.26 per hour.
