About WeWork
WeWork builds adaptable workspace solutions that help organizations of every size grow across more than 37 countries. The company’s focus is to create a global community where members get the support and environment they need to do their best work and take their ideas further.
Role Overview
The Community Associate is the main contact for members and visitors and serves as the public-facing representative of the workplace. This role is based on-site each day and supports the Community Management team in keeping the location running smoothly, welcoming members, and strengthening the community experience.
Key Responsibilities
The position covers front desk service, member engagement, building operations, and day-to-day coordination. Depending on the assigned site, the role may support a diverse member base across industries or focus on an Enterprise client environment, which can involve different holidays, systems, operating processes, relationship expectations, and property-related duties compared with Classic locations.
Front Desk and Member Service
You will oversee the front desk during set business hours, greet members and guests professionally, manage visitor sign-in requirements, answer building-related questions, and keep the reception area organized and presentable. The role also includes learning member names, anticipating needs, notifying members about deliveries, and handling forms and requests such as pet forms, filming requests, and bike room requests.
Events and Community Engagement
You will support member engagement by helping shape event programming, reviewing event outcomes, promoting activities through posters and broadcasts, and celebrating member milestones. The role also includes coordinating event logistics, updating member notes in the relevant system, recommending local services and venues, using the member network to foster connections, and sharing building updates and policy information clearly.
Mail, Keys, and Building Operations
Operational duties include receiving and sorting mail, managing the mailroom, handling unidentified or unclaimed mail, organizing parcel pickups, resolving missing package issues, tracking and distributing keys and keycards, managing inventory, collecting access items during move-out, reviewing emergency equipment locations and usage, and supporting guests and members with the automated coffee machine.
Candidate Profile
WeWork is looking for someone with hospitality experience, strong communication abilities, excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills, and a service-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate should demonstrate reliability, integrity, accountability, self-awareness, compassion, and a strong work ethic, along with interest in entrepreneurial communities and alignment with WeWork’s mission and values.
Additional Information
Being part of WeWork means joining a collaborative environment where open-minded thinking, teamwork, and fresh ideas are encouraged. The company values the diverse perspectives of its people and offers an atmosphere where members and employees are inspired to achieve more together.
