Overview

Grand Hyatt Doha is looking for a Commis Chef to support the kitchen team with the smooth day-to-day running of the department in line with the brand's standards and operational needs. The role involves helping prepare high-quality dishes, maintaining consistency, upholding hygiene standards, and ensuring food is served on time, while also building culinary experience under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Work alongside senior kitchen staff such as the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in routine operations.
  • Make sure all food handling and preparation activities follow quality, cleanliness, and safety expectations.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and kitchen equipment clean, tidy, and properly arranged.
  • Use correct storage practices, labeling methods, and first-in-first-out stock rotation.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and putting away ingredients and kitchen supplies.
