Role overview
Join QBE Insurance’s Workers’ Compensation team in Tasmania as a Case Manager. In this role, you’ll manage claims from start to finish, support injured workers on their return-to-work journey, and provide clear guidance to employers to help achieve positive recovery outcomes.
Work location and arrangement
- This position can be based in Hobart or Launceston.
- It is a permanent, full-time role.
- The setup is hybrid, combining office-based work with work from home.

What you will do
- Act as the main contact for key stakeholders throughout the return-to-work process, including injured workers, employers, general practitioners, and other health professionals.
- Manage claims in line with required timeframes, legislation, company policies, and compliance standards.
- Meet stakeholders in person through case conferences, claims reviews, and site visits.
- Regularly review each file, then plan, build, and carry out appropriate claim strategies.
- Set clear expectations and help workers and employers understand their legal responsibilities while maintaining responsible financial claims management across your portfolio.
