Role overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced Oncology Business Manager to join a fast-growing pharmaceutical company at an important point in its expansion. Based in Sydney, this national oncology role focuses on product launches and commercial growth within a specialist therapy area.

This position goes beyond a standard territory sales remit. You will help bring new oncology therapies to market, work in close partnership with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access, and develop long-term relationships with leading oncology centres across Australia.

The role is well suited to someone who thrives in launch-led environments, enjoys a high level of autonomy, and wants their ideas to shape commercial direction and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales results across a specialist oncology product portfolio.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with oncologists, oncology nurses, and key hospital decision-makers.
  • Implement launch plans and spot opportunities to expand market reach.
  • Assist with formulary submissions and hospital listing processes.
  • Provide accurate scientific and product-focused education to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with Medical, Marketing, and Market Access teams to deliver the wider commercial plan.
  • Share market feedback and competitor intelligence to support business decisions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in oncology.
  • A proven history of managing specialist hospital accounts.
  • Previous experience supporting new product launches will be viewed favourably.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-management abilities.
  • A commercially minded, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
  • Availability to travel when needed.
