This opening is for a Business Development Representative (m/w/d) in Berlin. The role sits within the Inside Sales team and is centered on bringing new restaurant and partner businesses into the platform in important German markets.
Although there is no active vacancy for this position right now, the company is building a talent pool and is open to hearing from strong candidates so they can be considered when future opportunities arise.
Role Summary
In this position, you will take ownership of new partner acquisition from the first outreach through to deal closure. You will use support from the Lead Research team and work with Salesforce to manage your pipeline, track progress, and monitor results. The job calls for a proactive sales approach, relationship-building skills, and confidence in running negotiations.
Key Duties
- Identify and win new restaurant, grocery, and other partner accounts in strategic, fast-growing German cities.
- Use prospecting support from the Lead Research team to find suitable leads and drive cold outreach.
- Make cold calls to spark interest, qualify opportunities, and progress potential partners through the sales funnel.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including initial contact, pitch delivery, negotiations, and final agreement.
- Take full responsibility for your own pipeline and work toward weekly KPI targets.
- Record and update pipeline development, performance metrics, and city-level progress in Salesforce.
- Build long-term business relationships that support ongoing collaboration with partners.
- Work closely with Inside Sales, Grocery, and Key Account Management teams to speed up SMB acquisition and hand over strategic accounts smoothly.
Candidate Profile
The company is looking for someone with a strong track record in business development, inside sales, or outbound sales, preferably in a B2B setting. You should be comfortable approaching new prospects, building trust from scratch, and closing deals through persuasive communication and negotiation.
Experience using Salesforce for pipeline management is important, along with solid knowledge of German cities and their business environment. Background in food delivery, grocery retail, or e-commerce will be a plus, as will familiarity with growth-focused sales strategies and market expansion.
You must be fluent in German and English.
