About H-Power
H-Power is a UK-headquartered clean energy business listed on the AIM market. It develops zero-emission hydrogen power systems that use ammonia to generate low-carbon hydrogen where power is needed and then convert it through fuel cells into dependable off-grid electricity. Its technology is positioned as a scalable alternative to fossil-fuel-based solutions for the construction, infrastructure, transport, and power generation sectors.

Role Overview
H-Power is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth for its fuel cell generator business across Europe. The position will focus on creating and expanding a qualified sales pipeline in construction, temporary power, and equipment rental markets. Over time, the remit is expected to grow beyond fuel cell generators and include ammonia cracker technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver a European business development plan for H-Power’s fuel cell generator range.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with generator manufacturers, distributors, rental businesses, and end customers.
- Organize and lead client meetings, product presentations, and commercial negotiations across priority markets in Europe.
- Handle commercial discussions and support the creation of proposals, pricing structures, and contracts.
- Gather market trends and competitor intelligence to inform product and investment choices.
- Collaborate closely with technical, product, and operations teams so customer needs can be met effectively.
- Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and customer visits throughout Europe.
- Gradually take on broader responsibility for the European commercial function as the business expands.
Requirements
- Background in business development or commercial roles within generators, distributed power, equipment rental, or clean energy.
- A well-established network in the European generator market, along with an existing contact base.
- Experience in selling technical solutions or capital equipment with multiple decision-makers involved.
- Exposure to fuel cells, hydrogen systems, or related energy technologies is a plus.
- German language ability is strongly preferred.
- Self-directed approach with the confidence to build new markets independently.
- Commercial mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and comfort speaking with senior stakeholders.
- Readiness to travel frequently across Europe and join monthly meetings with the UK commercial team.
