Overview
An immediate opening is available for an Assistant Warehouse Manager for a client based in Sharjah, UAE. This role is specifically intended for professionals with experience in the construction sector and strong practical knowledge of Oracle Fusion Inventory and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
The position centers on managing warehouse activities end to end, from receiving and storage to inventory control, dispatch, and documentation. The selected candidate will also work closely with Procurement, Projects, Finance, Logistics, and Audit teams to keep material movement accurate, timely, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee daily warehouse functioning, strengthen inventory accuracy, support project material availability, and maintain proper control over warehouse records and processes.
- Supervise warehouse operations such as receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, transfers, dispatch, and stock control.
- Make sure materials are received and supplied on time to meet operational and project needs.
- Review warehouse space usage and improve storage efficiency where needed.
- Set up and maintain practical workflows, procedures, and handling standards for warehouse activities.
- Protect the condition and security of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables through proper storage and preservation methods.
- Coordinate stock movement between warehouses, project locations, and suppliers.
- Track warehouse performance and drive ongoing process improvements.
- Ensure operations follow company policies, internal procedures, and required standards.
- Handle warehouse transactions in Oracle Fusion Inventory Management.
- Accurately record goods receipts, material issues, transfers, stock returns, adjustments, cycle counts, and physical inventory entries.
- Maintain item masters, inventory categories, and warehouse location data in Oracle Fusion.
- Use Oracle Fusion dashboards and reports to monitor stock balance and material movement.
- Work with Procurement and Finance so inventory activity is correctly reflected in Oracle Fusion.
- Support Oracle Fusion SCM rollouts, upgrades, testing, and process enhancement activities.
- Use Oracle Fusion Inventory, Procurement, and SCM modules effectively in daily work.
- Create warehouse KPI reports and inventory analytics using Oracle Fusion reporting tools.
- Monitor inventory valuation and support reconciliation with Finance.
- Maintain reliable stock records and overall inventory integrity.
- Carry out cycle counts and annual physical stock audits regularly.
- Investigate stock mismatches and apply corrective actions.
- Set reorder levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and surplus items and manage them appropriately.
- Apply inventory optimization methods to improve turnover and reduce inefficiencies.
- Ensure materials are issued only through approved processes and as per project needs.
- Coordinate stock reconciliations with Finance and Internal Audit.
- Work with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, and Project teams to confirm material availability.
- Review forecasts and project requirements to support timely planning.
- Monitor consumption of project materials and usage patterns.
- Support mobilization and demobilization activities for projects.
- Ensure materials reach project sites within required timelines.
- Manage urgent material needs and critical replenishment requests.
- Contribute to project planning discussions when warehouse support is required.
- Implement warehouse safety rules and maintain compliance with safety procedures.
- Follow UAE health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and safety audits across warehouse areas on a regular basis.
- Ensure safe operation of forklifts, lifting equipment, and other material-handling tools.
- Store hazardous, sensitive, and high-value items under suitable conditions.
- Investigate incidents and take preventive actions to reduce repeat risks.
- Help build and maintain a strong safety-focused culture within warehouse operations.
- Maintain complete documentation for all warehouse transactions.
- Keep receiving reports, delivery notes, issue vouchers, transfer logs, and inventory records up to date.
- Preserve full traceability of materials across the warehouse lifecycle.
- Keep records organized to satisfy company, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits with complete documentation and accurate inventory data.

This role requires hands-on warehouse management experience within the construction industry, along with strong practical expertise in Oracle Fusion Inventory and SCM.
