Assistant Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for an Assistant Engineer based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role focuses on supporting the Engineering Section with electrical maintenance activities, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and documentation during shift operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and corrective upkeep on electrical systems and related components.
• Maintain and service automatic doors, cleaning equipment, electrical forklifts, and diesel forklifts.
• Spot technical issues and safety concerns, then report them while adhering to required safety practices.
• Perform both preventive and breakdown maintenance on electrical machinery and systems.
• Interpret and work from SOPs, manuals, drawings, technical specifications, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective parts and components.
• Work in line with quality requirements, safety standards, and cGMP expectations.
• Coordinate with other departments to reduce the risk of production stoppages.
• Assist with electrical tasks for the Engineering Section across shifts.
• Record electrical readings and parameters for daily checklist completion.
• Manage SAP PM/CM notifications, receiving reports, and purchase requisitions as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role or environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and standard guidelines.
• Familiarity with cGMP and data integrity principles.
• Understanding of electrical power generation and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of installation and maintenance practices for electrical equipment.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
