About the Role

This opportunity sits within the Globalization function and focuses on Arabic language quality, local user experience, content performance, and product readiness for Arabic-speaking markets. The role is best suited to someone who sees localization as a product function, not just a translation task, and who is comfortable using AI tools as part of day-to-day localization operations.

The Arabic Language Manager will own the Arabic experience end to end, making sure the product feels naturally localized for users rather than simply translated. The position also calls for active use of AI-assisted workflows such as prompt-based quality checks, AI-generated content support, and machine translation post-editing.

The right candidate will bring strategic thinking, strong localization expertise, hands-on familiarity with AI/LLM tools, clear communication, and a strong focus on delivering localized experiences that create measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Arabic language quality programs, including localization reviews, UX testing, and identification of linguistic, functional, and cultural issues that could affect the user experience.
• Use and improve AI-enabled localization workflows to support terminology consistency, efficiency, and quality across Arabic content, while documenting prompt learnings and evaluating AI output rigorously.
• Connect localization work with Arabic content performance and SEO signals, using user feedback and market insights to improve acquisition, conversion, and engagement.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Content Systems, Engineering, Marketing, and SEO teams to shape upstream decisions so Arabic users receive a fully localized experience, including RTL behavior, tone choices, cultural fit, and content readiness.
• Own Arabic localization projects from planning through delivery, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to keep timelines and quality standards on track.
• Represent Arabic-speaking users by researching and consolidating customer feedback and turning it into actionable recommendations for UI, UX, content, and design.
• Evaluate and manage language service providers and freelancers, including feedback sharing, training, and performance follow-up to maintain quality expectations.
• Maintain and improve Arabic language assets such as style guides, glossaries, and translation memory files so they remain aligned with product and market changes.
• Share market intelligence on Arabic-speaking regions, including opportunities, risks, and competitor movements by country or segment.
• Ensure localized content stays consistent with global brand standards while also sounding natural, distinct, and persuasive for Arabic audiences.

Requirements

• Native-level Arabic and professional business-level English.
• At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in translation, linguistics, content marketing, communications, or a related subject.
• Proven background in Arabic translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance, with experience leading initiatives from start to finish.
• Experience running localization reviews, testing, and quality programs for Arabic-speaking markets.
• Practical experience with AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or machine translation systems in localization workflows, including prompt design, AI output review, and post-editing.
• Working knowledge of Translation Management Systems and Content Management Systems.
• Experience in creative translation or transcreation, including adapting content for Arabic cultural context, dialect vs. MSA choices, gender, formality, and religious or cultural sensitivity.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across product, design, content, engineering, marketing, and vendor teams.
• Ability to research markets, collect user feedback, and offer UI/UX insights that improve the local experience.
• Experience reviewing and managing language vendors or service providers, including coaching, feedback, and performance management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of SEO basics and content performance measurement in Arabic markets.
• Exposure to prompt engineering or AI-based content quality governance methods.
• Awareness of right-to-left design requirements and their effect on Arabic UX.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• Additional language skills beyond Arabic and English.
• Self-directed, proactive, and execution-oriented working style.
